2. Perfect color temperature, the color temperature of halogen lamp is determined by filament temperature. Temperature can be changed through by altering the inner atmospheric pressure, and reach 3000K at the utmost when working with yellow light. However, the color temperature of HID lamps has a wider range between 3000K and 14000K, we take 6000K as an example, it is like the sunlight and suits human’s vision, so 6000K is considered as the best color temperature for HID lights.

3. High Efficiency, the efficiency of 35w HID lamp is over 85% with a little bit of calorific power while that of halogen lamp is less than 20%.

4. Fast start-up, It takes over 15 minutes from the start up to stabilization for common metal halide lamp, while the start up for HID xenon lamp takes around 10-20 seconds and within several seconds to become stable.

5. Longer life cycle, the working material metal halide is operating recurrently and oxidation reduction of working electrode is also cyclical, there is no life problem of HID lamp filaments, therefore the HID lamps have a longer life cycle. Even after 2000 hours of usage, the luminous intensity only decrease by 15% and it still has over 2700 lumen brightness, if it’s usage is about 8000 hours, exceeding the total lamp usage time of a normal automobile, so the lamp always has the same life with the vehicles. And the life cycle for the halogen lamp is within 500 hours.
