Operation Principle for HID Xenon Lamps HID xenon lamp, the high brightness gas discharge lamp, is
a top-class product of metal halide lamp with complicated luminescence theory
and process. Under the normal temperature, ultra pure (99.99%) rare and gas
xenon ( When electric are started under the high voltage, accelerated electron collides with vaporous and plasma state metallic ion inside the lamp and then energy level transitions happens; when activated outer electron of ion turns to be in the low level stable state, the characteristic spectrum of this material (e.g. gaseous metal) will be stem out. The main spectrum is metal atomic spectrum such as natrium, kalium, caesium, scandium and mercury, since the atomic spectrum of different metals has different color temperature, and the alteration of compounding of metals or metal halides and inside atmospheric pressure, then color temperature can vary easily from 3000 k to 12000k. |
